Currently serving as Oklahoma’s 5th District, Congresswoman Kendra Horn’s is committed to fighting for women’s rights, education reform and affordable healthcare.
In February, Kendra received an A grade from the National Education Association for her votes to strengthen public education funding, address the student debt crisis, pass the Equality Act, support education professionals, and for her accessibility and willingness to talk to educators about pressing issues, followed by bold action on those issues.
Kenda recently voted for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Enhancement Act, legislation that would strengthen the Affordable Care Act by lowering coverage costs, lowering drug costs, increasing matching funds for states like Oklahoma to expand Medicaid and reinforcing protections for people with pre-existing conditions.
Kendra is the Executive Director of Sally’s List, a nonpartisan nonprofit that trains and supports women who run for political office at the state and local levels. Most recently, she founded Women Lead Oklahoma, a nonpartisan nonprofit that encourages women to participate in civic life. In the House, Kendra is a member of The Women’s Caucus, which is composed of women working to cross party lines and advance issues important to women and their families.
