Criminal Justice Reform

Jon Ossoff

Jon Ossoff is native Georgian, small business owner and investigative journalist. As an Atlanta native, Jon is dedicated to ensuring that all Georgia citizens are prioritized by state government. He is a strong advocate for accessible healthcare for all Americans, protecting women’s right to choose, and creating a more equal, honest criminal justice system.

Jon has always seen high-quality healthcare as a necessity for all Americans. But in the time of COVID-19, that need has only intensified. He plans to make high-quality healthcare accessible to all Americans with a public option. By blocking the GOP’s attempts to take healthcare from millions of Americans, Jon will ensure that everyone has the right to live healthy lives.

Jon also sees the importance of protecting women’s right to make decisions about their own healthcare. Through his work as an investigative journalist, Jon has seen firsthand the dangers of unregulated abortion services in places where legal abortion isn’t an option. That’s why he plans to back federal judges who are dedicated to upholding the settled precedent of Roe v. Wade.

Jon recognizes the need for reform in our criminal justice system. He plans to back the new Civil Rights Act to advance necessary reforms and put in place further civil rights protections. In light of recent events, Jon will work hard to demilitarize and end racial disparities in local law enforcement to ensure a safer environment for people of color.

Unlike his opponent and current U.S. Senator David Perdue, Jon will put the average American citizen first and fight for a secure future for all.
